Evurge, an IT Solutions firm started with three men, $250, a pen, and a table at Starbucks on a bright September day. The owners grew Evurge while they juggled personal life along with the many struggles of owning a startup, but they had a defined vision of what Evurge was, how it would grow, and the environment it wanted to support the people that would join them to that endeavor.
It did not take them long to start seeing the results of their dedication. After just a few projects they began working with Federal agencies and overseas. In 2019 Evurge finally found a home outside of the nation’s capital in Hyattsville, MD. This is where they would finally be able to create the work culture they wanted.
They offer things like snacks, complementary beverages apart from the standard coffee bar, and unlike most other spaces you will find board games throughout the office, creating a deeper, and more meaningful connection between the teams, its members, and the owners.
Evurge has worked hard to promote engagement with their teams and opted for an open workspace concept, so that their teams could collaborate openly, freely, and more comfortably. The owners at Evurge are always trying to find new ways to expand, challenge, and promote their teams’ talents, by encouraging and when possible, providing them with new tools to challenge their ability and improve on it.
Evurge has a heavy focus on infrastructure design, they create these designs through CAD with the help of a design team. One of the owners had been given a 3D printer but had never used it and thought the team could do something fun in their down time. They started finding fun things to download and print out, then they started designing their own projects in CAD and printing them. They recreated little statues of Evurge’s name, printed out the office space as a 3D model, and there is now a bunch of coasters scattered around the office with Evurge’s logo. The inspiration just grew to the point that a newer model was bought.
When the owners of Evurge saw the 3D model of their office layout it made them think, why do we not do architectural design? It was a whole new area to be discovered and about a month later Evurge was happy to welcome their newest member, an architectural designer. Since then, Evurge has partnered with architectural firms, architects, construction companies, and are now capable of producing architectural designs, 3D modeling, and so much more.
Evurge has been a firm believer that creativity in the workplace leads to innovation in the workplace, and you can find examples of this belief throughout Evurge’s success. Their open-mindedness has allowed them to create long-term and lasting partnerships, and they are always looking to expand in this area as well. If you think we are a good fit for you Evurge is always excited for new connections.
